It is always a good policy to backup your CallButler PBX periodically.  Similarly, you might want to move your PBX from one machine to another at some point.  Your key CallButler PBX settings and data are stored in a folder called "Service" - C:\Program Files\CallButler\Service.  Your Service folder includes things like extensions, greetings, telephone services, voicemails, etc.

To backup your CallButler PBX system:
  1. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\CallButler\Service
  2. Zip the entire Service folder using an application like WinZip, PKZip, WinRAR, etc.
  3. Save this file in a safe place.
If you are moving your CallButler PBX to a new machine:
  1. Download and install the latest version of CallButler PBX from http://www.codeplex.com/callbutler/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx on your NEW machine
  2. Stop the CallButler service
  3. Using Windows Explorer, over-write the Service folder on your NEW machine with the backed-up Service folder from your OLD machine
  4. Start the CallButler service
