Application Crashes on Server 2008

Hi, help with this is appreciated.

I have installed CB on Server 2008 and it appears to work well, picks up incomming calls, records voice mail.  However when I try to configure it in any way I get a message saying tha application has to close and it provides the following error message:

  Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:   APPCRASH
  Application Name:     CallButler Manager.exe
  Application Version:  1.9.12.0
  Application Timestamp:        2a425e19
  Fault Module Name:    ieframe.dll_unloaded
  Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0
  Fault Module Timestamp:       48e4438a
  Exception Code:       c0000005
  Exception Offset:     05c4a8ed
  OS Version:   6.0.6001.2.1.0.272.7
  Locale ID:    2057
  Additional Information 1:     2b5e
  Additional Information 2:     d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e
  Additional Information 3:     bf65
  Additional Information 4:     601a7ac85228ecfa24423393348d3839

Once I click this error screen away the application continues to run, but I can not get to a screen to configure CB in anyway.  If you know how to resolve this issue it would be helpful.

Many thanks

As others are using CB with Vista successfully (same base as 2008, but may differ) I would have to guess it has something to do with your particular installation.  First, I would download this program to test your RAM for a few hours http://www.memtest.org/.  Then I would probably install the latest updates for IE, since the error stems from an IE dll file (did not think CB took advantage of this).  Then I would scan your computer for virus's.  Then if all else fails, I know in windows server they tighten IE security down tight, maybe loosen it up for just a test to see if you still get that same error.  Also, you can always remotely configure it by installing just the manager on another computer (a nice workaround).

Many thanks for the reply.  The memory tests have been done previously and all was fine in this area, and I take you point about the work around of installing the manager on another machine but that is not what I want to do unless I have to.  I did take your point about IE security setting and reduced these.  The problem is now defined as below when trying to modify options such as call flow and call personalization:

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    APPCRASH
  Application Name:    CallButler Manager.exe
  Application Version:    1.9.12.0
  Application Timestamp:    2a425e19
  Fault Module Name:    StackHash_1703
  Fault Module Version:    0.0.0.0
  Fault Module Timestamp:    00000000
  Exception Code:    c0000005
  Exception Offset:    07a5a8ed
  OS Version:    6.0.6001.2.1.0.272.7
  Locale ID:    2057
  Additional Information 1:    1703
  Additional Information 2:    2264db07e74365624c50317d7b856ae9
  Additional Information 3:    1344
  Additional Information 4:    875fa2ef9d2bdca96466e8af55d1ae6e

Again does anyone have any suggestions for me regarding this, or has anyomne else succesfully installed CB on Server 2008?

Many thanks

I am going out on a limb here, but try what is suggested here http://camcorderanswers.com/f13/windows-dvd-maker-crashes-every-time-4602/.  So try to find and remove file ../system32/mmswitch.a

Seriously doubt it will work, but then again stack_1703 is a very generic error, is there any dump file associated with it that you can upload?

Thanks for the help Starwarp but this did not help.  I have not found a solution to this problem yet.
