records like chipmunks!

We are recording in MP3 format. The files cannot be read over any regular MP3 softwares. Only Soundforge can make something out of it, and when it plays the file people sound like chipmunks, so we have to process it  in order to be able to understand anything.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Suggest recording as a WAV file.  The file sizes will be larger but the quality will be better.  For the CallButler PBX developer community, the issue is the MP3 code.  Would be great if someone is interested in digging in to provide better support for MP3.

Is there actually a way to set the call recording and voicemail options to record as .wav instead of the mp3 is currently uses?.
